Persons with disabilities in Somaliland continue to face significant barriers that limit their full participation in society. Key challenges include:• Limited access to quality and inclusive education• Inadequate access to healthcare and rehabilitation services• High unemployment and limited livelihood opportunities• Social stigma and discrimination• Poor accessibility to public infrastructure and services• Limited availability of assistive devices and rehabilitation support• Weak implementation of disability-related policies and legislation• Limited participation in governance and decision-making processes• Exclusion from humanitarian response and emergency servicesSDHO works to address these challenges through disability rights advocacy, inclusive service delivery, capacity strengthening, community awareness, policy engagement, and strategic partnerships with government, development partners, civil society, and Organizations of Persons with Disabilities (OPDs).
